Hi Steffen, yes I am very much interested in your continued market commentary. So sorry to hear that Peter's condition has taken a bad turn.
Of course Stephan, keep going with it, on the cot report for gold, i see low open interest, commercials long and small specs or is that large traders getting out? Thanks.
As long as you update the web chart, especially the SPX, daily or nearly daily, I will be happy. Anything else will be gravy. Thanks Steffen.
Continue with the analysis. One other point. I would like to switch to Trading View, but value having the continuum. Any plans to add it to Trading View?
Hi Steffen - Would you please help me to pass my words to Peter - “Peter I would thank you wholeheartedly for handing me a perpetual money machine. I would love to visit you. I hope you would stay strong. God bless and good luck to you.”

Thanks for the feedback! Have not used put/call ratio but will revisit and report.

Thanks for the feedback! Not sure I understand the question correctly. Low open interest just means less total contracts. Each contract needs a buyer and a seller. So contracts can increase or decrease in number (unlike the amount of a stock). Open interest is therefore quite literally showing the interest in the market. It can also be described as total number of positions. But the sum of all the contracts is neutral (as each contract has a buyer and a seller). You are right in a sense that OI decrease was largely driven by large traders closing longs, but since the week ending May 29th, large traders have actually bought lower prices and increased their net position. Thats rather unusual. The counterposition was taken by Swap Dealers. Commercials are the sum of Swap Dealers and Producers (and Swap Dealers are much bigger, 5 times more contracts than Producers). Swap Dealers typically buy lower prices and sell higher prices. Thats the reason I showed the Producers position, as the Swap Dealers make the Commercials look less bullish positioned at the moment. Swap Dealers are really just balancing the long demand of large traders. My analysis showed that if Producers have a long signal and Swap Dealers do not (usually they agree), than the Producers signal prevails.

Thanks for the feedback. The continuum, and really even the offsets actually require to have plots in between bars. So offset 3.5 for example requires a plot at 0.5, right in the middle of two bars. You can see that well on the web charts (thats why I originally developed them). TradingView (and to be fair all other charting platforms) do technically not support plotting in between bars :( We could only have a continuum rounded to the closest bar, but that continuum would be wrong.

:) The software (including web app) is generally planned to be kept available.
