Merry Christmas, Peter! Family is indeed important. The last few months have been quite stressful. I also lost quite a bit of money. During all these emotions I realized what is important in life and that the important things have not changed. I am grateful for the relationships I have.
I just looked at the $vix.x (daily). There is a downward projection on the 7-8 (but only 38.1% of the downward projections since 3-1-21 have been reached). There is an upward projection on the 12.1-13.8 with 93.33% confirmed upward projections over the same period. To reach this upside projection, the VIX would have to rise fairly quickly. So this would confirm your expectations.
