Peter One interest fact about the long term technical trend line from the march 09 low (you love to show and talk about it stops the rallies and the down turns) from about 600 to present time now the line is at 4000+ on the S&P 500 which one thing you have not comment on Over the last 13 and 1/2 years that this trend line which is increasing in a algorithm way is to continue at a set angle upward to guide the market higher Technically So until something turn this line to a declining trend line then long term the secular bull market continues on it way higher Invest anytime market get down 35-40% from a high and then put your new money in cash interest bearing accounts to accumulate more cash until next 35% bear occurs then add to market & stay long term until retirement then reassess the balance of investment portfolio to paid out to cover your life style in retirement I pray this trend line continues for another Century

Dear Peter, In your opinion, what are the chances that there will be a final blow off top before the big bear market comes
@adwhartonmd232 - I agree with you. I have been using parallel channels on logarithmic charts. They work a treat on log charts but are much more disappointing on linear charts. Hence, I only use log charts for my analysis and nothing else.
Many indications say there'll be many dead cat bounce along the way, but the bounce can't get to the higher projections, i.e. bearish. Need some big monies to come in to buy to get to those levels.
